International stained glass centre

A unique museum that reveals all the secrets of stained glass!

Just 50 metres from the cathedral, this unique centre, located in the former Tithe Barn (used to store salt), a 13th century listed building, was founded in 1980. It exhibits the secrets of stained glass, an art that has its schools, teachers and methods. An explanation of stained glass techniques (cutting antique glass, mounting the lead, the evolution of techniques from the Middle Ages to the present), is followed by a guided tour of the exhibitions presented in the stained glass museum.
