Answers to help you prepare your stay

Need more information to organize your group stay in Eure-et-Loir? Through this page, prepare your arrival in Chartres and its surrounding area.

Absolutely - tell us about your project and we'll do the rest!

As far as possible, as all services are subject to the availability of the different service providers. The busiest months are April, May and June. Be aware that we can put in an option without obligation on your part. You will be asked for confirmation at least 1 month before the date of your visit.

We will be delighted to welcome you to discuss your project, by appointment, Monday to Friday between 10 am and 6 pm.

Entry is free. However, if you wish to make a speech inside, we advise you to contact the rectorate in advance to read the terms and conditions concerning the right to speak.

The cathedral is open from 8:30 am to 7:30 pm all year round. However, guided tours are only available from 9.30 am to noon and from 1 pm to 5.30 pm.

No, there is a free long-stay car park.

The Chartres light show will run from April 27 to October 12, 2019, with events every evening.

There is a paying toilet on the square in front of the cathedral. However, free toilets are available at the bus depot, as well as in the courtyard of the International Stained Glass Centre.

On request, we can send you the brochure by e-mail or by post in reasonable quantities.

There is no minimum, but be aware that the best value usually starts at somewhere around twenty people. 

A deposit of 30% is requested upon acceptance of your quote.

In the days following your visit, we will invite you to fill out a satisfaction questionnaire. The feedback from our customers is very important in order to improve the quality of our services.
